2025 Hocking County Community Fund

The Hocking County Community Fund, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), provides annual grant opportunities to support nonprofits, schools, and public organizations engaged in projects and programs serving the residents and communities of Hocking County, Ohio. This initiative is part of a broader mission to foster prosperity and well-being throughout Appalachian Ohio by catalyzing development and supporting local efforts across various sectors. The grant program targets five primary areas: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. The goal is to empower individuals and organizations that are working to address pressing needs, foster opportunity, and enhance the potential within the local community. Grants are typically offered in amounts ranging from $500 to $5,000, though requests for larger funding may be considered based on the scope and projected impact of the proposed initiative. Applications for the 2025 cycle are open from Tuesday, April 29, through Tuesday, June 10. The FAO has adopted the Foundation Cloud Community Portal as its new online application system. All applicants must register and create an account to access and complete the grant application. Those who have used the system since fall 2024 may use their existing credentials. Once logged in, applicants should navigate to the “Grant Application” tab, select “Available Grants,” and proceed with the appropriate form.
