Grant Description

The Creative Communities Grant supports arts and cultural activities of organizations in service to Maine communities and residents. Funding is for the support of new or existing arts-based projects with a focus on community needs. The project should directly benefit the public and/or engage a specific community. All activities must be community-based, and be open and accessible to the general public. The grant aims to expand community access to the arts, ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, support and address community needs, and promote the unique identities of Maine’s communities. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) cultural organizations, K-12 schools, municipalities, tribal entities, and non-art 501(c)(3) organizations. The application portal opens on February 12, 2025, and the deadline for submission is March 19, 2025. The grant award can be up to $7000, with an award cycle from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
