Grant Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, is offering a cooperative agreement under the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) Program for a project titled “Recreational Boating Survey for Broken Bow Lake, Oklahoma.” This opportunity is limited exclusively to members of the CESU Program within the Great Plains, Great Rivers, or Gulf Coast CESU Regions. The intent is to engage CESU-affiliated institutions in supporting the Fort Worth District in conducting a comprehensive boating survey that will enhance recreational management and planning at Broken Bow Lake. The total anticipated funding for the base period of the agreement is approximately $350,000. Additional funding may become available for optional tasks or follow-on work in future years, subject to performance and mutual agreement. The period of performance begins at the time of award and runs through December 31, 2025. The CESU indirect cost rate of 17.5% applies to this opportunity. Applicants are requested to submit a Statement of Interest (SOI) that highlights their qualifications and capability to undertake work of this nature. The SOI must not exceed two pages and should include the name, organization, CAGE code, Unique Entity ID, CESU Region, and contact information. The qualifications section should provide a biographical sketch of the principal investigator, descriptions of relevant past projects and clients, and a list of staff or students available for the project along with their areas of expertise. Additionally, applicants should include information about facilities or equipment that would support successful completion of the project. The deadline to submit the Statement of Interest is April 11, 2025, by 3:00 P.M. Central Time. Applicants may direct their questions regarding the opportunity to either Nicholas A. Aprea, Grants Specialist, or Emily Woodruff, Project Manager, with contact details provided in the document. All questions must be submitted no later than close of business on March 25, 2025. The review process for submitted SOIs involves a board at the receiving installation or activity, which will evaluate submissions based on the qualifications of the principal investigator, relevant experience, and institutional capability. Selected applicants will then be invited to submit a full proposal. This opportunity must remain posted on Grants.gov for 30 days prior to any final decision being made and proposal requests issued.
