Grant Description

The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) is inviting Letters of Interest (LOI) for the 2025 Creative Communities Initiative, a grant program supporting arts-based projects that enhance community livability, economic development, and cultural vibrancy in Pennsylvania. The program provides up to $25,000 per year for up to four years for community-driven, place-based projects. The goal is to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, community engagement, and collaboration in addressing local challenges. Eligible applicants must be partnerships between at least two organizations, with a lead applicant that is a government unit or a nonprofit organization located in the Pennsylvania community where the project will take place. Projects should not be for established programs or ongoing operational funding. The LOI deadline is November 22, 2024, at 5 p.m. EST, and must include a coversheet, narrative content, and three letters of support. Selected communities will undergo virtual site visits, and only invited applicants can submit full proposals. The final funding decisions will be made by the PCA in July 2025. For assistance, applicants can contact Sarah Merritt, Director of Pennsylvania Creative Communities & the Creative Economy, at skmerritt@pa.gov.
