Klamath County Tourism Grant Program 2025

The Klamath County Tourism Grant Program is designed to support projects that enhance, expand, and promote tourism throughout Klamath County, Oregon. The program aims to foster community development by investing in initiatives that contribute to the growth of the local tourism industry. Funding for this grant is made possible through the county’s transient room tax, which is collected from local lodging businesses. A seven-member review panel, appointed by the Board of Commissioners, is responsible for evaluating applications and recommending funding levels. The Board of Commissioners makes the final award decisions. Applications for the Spring 2025 cycle will be accepted from March 3, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. through March 31, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted. The application process includes a mandatory Grant Orientation Class scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Room 219 of the County Government Complex. Applicants who cannot attend in person may join via a live-streamed Zoom session, but attendance is required to be considered eligible. The application review process includes scoring by the Tourism Grant Review Panel on April 17, 2025, followed by a Board of Commissioners’ Administrative Meeting on April 30, 2025, where final funding determinations will be made. Applicants will be notified of their status after this meeting. Successful applicants must attend a required Marketing Essentials class on May 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. This class will also be available via livestream, with no makeup sessions offered. All grant contracts and required documentation must be signed and returned to Klamath County Finance by May 9, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., and the Board of Commissioners will formally sign contracts at their Business Meeting on May 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Applicants must use the designated budget form, which is available in both Excel and PDF formats, for both the application and final reporting.
