Restaurants Care Resilience Fund
This grant provides $10,000 to independently owned restaurants and food trucks in Los Angeles County that experienced revenue loss due to the January 2025 wildfires, helping them recover and sustain their operations.
The Restaurants Care Resilience Fund – LA Fire Relief 2025, administered by the California Restaurant Foundation (CRF), offers one-time grants of $10,000 to independently owned food-serving businesses in Los Angeles County that suffered a revenue loss due to the January 2025 wildfires. This initiative is designed to support small restaurant operators as they recover and rebuild from disaster impacts, ensuring the continued vitality of California’s independent dining scene. The application window is April 9–April 26, 2025, with notifications of awards scheduled by June 9, 2025. The grant is not renewable and only one application per business is accepted. Applications are reviewed based on demonstrated need and clarity and feasibility of proposed fund use. Awardees may be featured in future CRF promotional materials. Eligible applicants must be for-profit, independently owned restaurants or food trucks with 1–5 locations, located in Los Angeles County, and owned by a California resident. Businesses must have been open since January 1, 2024, and must currently be open or plan to reopen by July 1, 2025. Ineligible applicants include nonprofits, large chains, franchise businesses, or restaurants that do not serve both food and beverages. Funds must be used to offset revenue loss directly resulting from the fires. All submissions must be made via the Restaurants Care Submittable portal, and must be completed and submitted before the application window closes. Awardees are responsible for any applicable taxes. CRF reserves the right to disqualify applications that are incomplete, inaccurate, or deemed inappropriate. All information submitted is considered nonconfidential, and CRF retains licensing rights to use submitted materials for promotional purposes.
