2025 Façade Grant Improvement Program

The 2025 Façade Grant Improvement Program has been launched by the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce–Main Street–Tourism Bureau, in partnership with the Mississippi Power Foundation, to support revitalization efforts for commercial properties in the downtown Ocean Springs area. This grant aims to enhance the architectural appeal and physical condition of business facades, with the goal of attracting more tourism, supporting small business growth, and preserving the historical character of Ocean Springs. With a total funding pool of $30,000, the program will provide financial assistance to eligible business owners for improvements to commercial building facades. Fundable activities include cleaning, painting, brickwork repairs, lighting, awnings and canopies, signage, murals, doors, windows, ironwork, and restoration of original architectural features. All proposed projects must align with the program’s guidelines and demonstrate clear enhancement to the appearance of the building’s exterior. Eligibility is limited to businesses located within the Ocean Springs Main Street District and the Mississippi Power service area, including areas from Ocean Springs Road to Front Beach and Bienville Boulevard. Applicants must also be current members of the Ocean Springs Chamber-Main Street, and all properties must be in compliance with local taxes and building codes. The application process opened on April 10, 2025, and will close on July 1, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Applications must include required photos and contractor quotes to be considered. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Awards will be determined by the Ocean Springs Main Street Design Committee in accordance with the program’s evaluation criteria.
