Wyoming Community Foundation Grants
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations in Wyoming that are working to address community needs through collaborative and sustainable solutions.
The Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) offers general grants to support nonprofit organizations addressing community needs within Wyoming. WYCF prioritizes funding for organizations that work towards long-term solutions, collaborate with other nonprofits to improve services without redundancy, and leverage grant funding to secure additional financial support. The foundation does not fund lobbying efforts or provide grants to individuals. Low priority is given to block grants, capital campaigns, annual campaigns, debt retirement, and one-time special events. WYCF operates on a structured grant cycle with two application deadlines per year: March 15 and September 15, or the following business day if these dates fall on a weekend or holiday. Grant notifications are sent on June 15 for March applicants and December 15 for September applicants. Specialized grants may have different deadlines, and applicants are encouraged to explore additional grant opportunities offered by WYCF. Each organization is permitted to submit one application per grant deadline. Additionally, grantees may only apply once per calendar year unless granted special permission. This means that an organization receiving funding in June after applying in March must wait until the following March to submit another request. A final report must also be submitted before a new application can be considered. WYCF emphasizes the importance of strategic grant-making to maximize impact. Funded projects should address a well-defined community need, demonstrate effective use of funding, and contribute to sustainable solutions. Partnerships with other organizations are encouraged to strengthen applications. Applicants with questions regarding eligibility, the application process, or funding priorities are encouraged to contact WYCFโs Programs Associate, Cassandra Hunter, at cassandra@wycf.org. WYCF also offers office hours for prospective applicants to seek guidance before submission.
