Grant Description

The Denver Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Care Fund, a grant program designed to support the health and mental well-being of Colorado residents with low incomes who also live with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities, or who are visually impaired or blind. The Care Fund aims to enhance the quality of life for these populations by funding nonprofit initiatives that align with the fund’s mission of improving health and behavioral health outcomes for marginalized communities. Grants from the Care Fund will range from $10,000 to $20,000. The application window opens on April 1, 2025, and closes on May 15, 2025. All applicants must register on The Denver Foundation’s grant application portal prior to submitting their online applications. Previous grant recipients are not guaranteed future awards and must reapply during each cycle to be considered. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status or those with a qualifying fiscal sponsor. Organizations must be physically located in Colorado and deliver services within the state to qualify. The fund prioritizes work that directly benefits the health and behavioral health of individuals with disabilities or visual impairments who also face financial hardship. This grant program supports projects statewide in Colorado and welcomes applications from organizations serving both urban and rural communities. Proposals should demonstrate clear alignment with the Care Fund’s purpose and focus on meaningful impact. Organizations with a strong track record of serving the target population and improving health outcomes are encouraged to apply. For questions regarding the grant process, applicants may contact the foundation at carefund@denverfoundation.org. The Denver Foundation’s main office is located at 1009 Grant Street, Denver, CO 80203, and their general phone number is 303-300-1790. Additional guidance and application instructions can be found on the foundation’s website, including a Frequently Asked Questions page to assist applicants through the portal registration and submission process.
