Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation Grant
This funding opportunity supports healthcare organizations in developing innovative projects that improve patient care, promote healthy lifestyles, and address the needs of underserved populations.
The Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation, Inc. (CCHF) has opened its 2025 General Grant Program to support organizations pursuing healthcare-related projects. CCHF is a philanthropic arm affiliated with Coverys, a provider of medical professional liability insurance, and it focuses on fostering innovations that improve healthcare in communities served by Coverys policyholders. The foundation prioritizes funding initiatives that enhance patient care and safety, promote healthy lifestyles, or support individuals and organizations delivering healthcare services. This funding opportunity is specifically designed to support innovative projects that address new health needs, improve quality of care, or lower healthcare costs while enhancing outcomes. Particular consideration is given to programs targeting underserved populations and those that incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles. Projects that demonstrate adaptability for broader use and a willingness to share outcomes are especially encouraged. To be considered, applicants must provide several key documents and information, including a detailed project narrative with baseline data, measurable outcomes with evaluation plans, a start and end date, and a comprehensive budget. Applications must clearly explain how the requested funds will be used and disclose contributions from other sources. Notably, funding should not be primarily allocated to salaries; such costs must comprise less than 50% of the budget. Requests heavily focused on equipment or technology for routine operations, or those exceeding 15% of the funding request, are generally ineligible. The program is open from February 19, 2025, at 9:00 AM through May 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT. All applications must be submitted through the CCHF online portal. Informational Zoom sessions will be held on February 27 and March 18, though attendance is not mandatory. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants will be informed of decisions in writing. Awards will be announced by July 2, 2025. The foundation explicitly excludes funding for endowments, capital costs, routine operations, existing financial deficits, international initiatives, grants to organizations that regrant, and direct scholarships or reimbursable healthcare services. Applicants are also expected to provide mid-grant narrative and financial reports, and use all awarded funds solely for the approved project. Questions may be directed to foundation@coverys.com, and the foundation’s main office is located at One Financial Center, Boston, MA 02111. Phone inquiries can be made by calling 800-225-6168.
