Alachua County Small Farmer Grant 2025

The 2025 Alachua County Small Farmer Grant is an initiative funded by the Alachua County Commission to support small-scale agricultural operations within the county. This grant opportunity targets local farmers and ranchers who have annual revenues between $1,000 and $250,000. The program aims to bolster these small operations by enabling capital and equipment purchases that are expected to enhance their income and productivity. The grant is designed specifically for Alachua County-based farms and ranches, reinforcing the county’s commitment to rural economic development and agricultural sustainability. Since its inception, the program has successfully supported 65 small farming operations, highlighting its impact and the local government’s dedication to aiding diverse members of the agricultural community. The initiative is managed by the Alachua County Department of Tourism & Economic Development. The total available funding for this round is approximately $100,000, with individual grants capped at a maximum of $5,000 per applicant. Only one application per farm or ranch is permitted, and all funding must be applied to capital or equipment expenditures that will have a direct, positive impact on the farm's income. No matching funds are required from applicants. Applicants are required to complete and submit the grant application by 5 p.m. on June 6, 2025.
