2024 Comcast Rise Grant

Grant Description

Comcast RISE was created in 2020 to help small businesses hardest hit by COVID-19 recover and thrive. We’re pleased to bring Comcast RISE back in 2024, and we’re proud to continue our efforts to help an even broader range of small businesses, while continuing to focus on diversity, inclusion, and community investment. Comcast RISE is supporting the growth of all small businesses committed to uplifting their local communities. The program is built to help businesses and their communities thrive with a focus on economic growth. This year, Comcast RISE will award 500 recipients in five cities with a grant package that includes business consultation services, educational resources, monetary grant, creative production, media schedule, and a technology makeover. From May 1-31, 2024, eligible small businesses in Atlanta, GA, Southern Colorado, Houston, TX, Jacksonville, FL, and Richmond, VA can apply for the Comcast RISE program.

Additional Requirements

Location: Small businesses must be located and operating in one of the following geographies defined by Comcast via zip codes in the United States: Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; Jacksonville, FL; Richmond, VA; Southern Colorado. Ownership: The business must be owned by an individual who is eighteen (18) years of age or older at the start of the Program Period. The owner must also: Be the primary decision-maker for and actively engaged in the day-to-day operations of the business. Own at least 51% of the equity of the business. Have the business independently owned and operated, not a franchise location. Operational Requirements: The business must have been actively operating for at least three (3) years. The business must have been revenue-generating for at least the 12 months prior to the Program Period. Exclusions: The business must not fall into any of the following categories: Non-profit organizations. Chamber of Commerce. Public or private education providers participating in the FCC's E-Rate Universal Service Program. Churches or Religious Organizations. Political advertisers. Businesses related to marijuana or related products, drug paraphernalia, virtual MVPD, internet service providers, gun/fireworks/tobacco/vape manufacturers or retailers, illegal products or services providers, adult entertainment companies, ride-sharing service providers. Size: The business must employ one hundred (100) employees or fewer, including both full-time and part-time employees. Submission: Only one submission per business owner is allowed. Legal Requirements: The business owner must have no prior felony convictions, tax-related convictions, or child support delinquency convictions. Additionally, the business owner may not currently be serving (either in a full-time or part-time capacity) as a federal, state, or local government or quasi-government official or employee. Prior Assistance: Businesses or business owners who have previously received a Comcast RISE monetary grant, consultation, media, creative production, or technology makeover are not eligible. Winners receive a $5,000 monetary grant, media and creative campaign valued at $17,500, technology makeover up to $7,500, business education through LinkedIn Learning, and business consultation services.
