Grant Description

The Seedling Spark Grant is a funding initiative by The Parikh Giving Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to enhancing healthcare, education, and the arts, particularly across Central Florida. This grant program aims to support innovative and emerging nonprofit projects, especially those in the early stages of development. It is designed to encourage creative, impactful initiatives with potential for growth and sustainable community benefit. The Seedling Spark Grant offers early-stage, unrestricted funding to nonprofits developing pilot programs or new ventures in three core focus areas: healthcare, education, and the arts. It provides up to $2,500 per grant, with a maximum of six grants awarded each year. Grants are disbursed biannually, with up to three awards given at the August Change Makers Breakfast—one each for healthcare, education, and the arts. This grant is ideal for organizations testing new ideas or launching small-scale projects. To be eligible, applicants must be registered and active nonprofit organizations with current 501(c)(3) status as recognized by the IRS. Additionally, organizations must comply with all state and federal licensing or registration requirements. Priority consideration is given to projects benefiting communities in Central Florida. The summer application window is open from May 15, 2025, to July 15, 2025, with applications closing at 5 PM on the final day. Awards are presented at the August Change Makers Breakfast. Applicants must complete an online form that includes detailed descriptions of the project overview, innovation, outreach and implementation plans, and impact measurement. Submissions must also include supporting documents such as the latest Annual Impact Statement, IRS determination letter, and IRS Form 990. Grant recipients will receive further instructions via email and will be provided with two complimentary passes to the Change Makers Breakfast. Additionally, each awarded organization must complete an annual impact form within 30 days of receipt. To assist applicants, The Parikh Giving Alliance offers grant writing tips and guidance through its Grant Application Portal. Only one grant per organization per cycle is permitted, though multiple types may be applied for.
