City of Cincinnati Human Services Fund Impact Award FY26
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations in Cincinnati that provide essential services to vulnerable populations, focusing on food security, mental health, housing stability, and economic mobility.
The City of Cincinnati’s Human Services Fund (HSF), administered in partnership with the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, announces the FY26 Impact Award opportunity. The HSF supports nonprofit organizations delivering services to Cincinnati residents that address poverty, promote equity, and improve community well-being. The Fund specifically aims to support programs that achieve measurable results for vulnerable populations by advancing food security, improving mental health, supporting stable housing, and promoting economic mobility. Applicants must focus on at least one of the defined funding priorities: food security, mental and behavioral health services, housing stability, and economic well-being. The program places strong emphasis on data-driven, equity-centered solutions that respond to the specific needs of historically underserved communities within Cincinnati. Applications open through an online portal and must be submitted by August 23, 2024. Final award notifications will occur in December 2024. Funded projects must operate during the city’s fiscal year running from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to attend technical assistance webinars and may schedule individual consultation meetings. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, be able to comply with all City of Cincinnati contracting requirements, and focus service delivery within city limits. Projects must align with the fund’s priorities and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and measurable impact. Funds cannot be used for religious activities, political activities, endowments, capital campaigns, or general fundraising events. Evaluation criteria include organizational capacity, program design and relevance, measurable outcomes, financial health, and alignment with the City’s Human Services Priorities. All applicants must submit a logic model, program budget, and supporting documentation through the online grant portal. Questions can be directed to the Community Investment Team at humanservicesfund@uwgc.org or 513-762-2700.
