Mobility Awards
This initiative provides financial support and resources to startups and entrepreneurial ventures developing innovative solutions in smart and sustainable mobility, focusing on areas like electric, connected, autonomous, and shared mobility.
The MUBIL Mobility Awards, organized by MUBIL Hub, are dedicated to promoting innovative projects in smart and sustainable mobility. MUBIL Hub represents a collaborative effort rooted in a territory's industrial heritage, technological expertise, and forward-looking vision. It unites major companies in the mobility sector, R&D infrastructure projects, and partnerships with technology and training centers to create an ideal ecosystem for project development. The awards serve to elevate technology-based mobility solutions with significant potential to transform the sector. The awards target projects that fall within five key areas: electric mobility, connected mobility, autonomous mobility, shared mobility, and related infrastructures. The initiative is particularly focused on supporting startups or entrepreneurial ventures seeking a supportive environment to advance their solutions. Selected projects benefit not only from financial prizes but also from integration into the MUBIL Hub's community, access to physical workspace for a year, exposure through the MUBIL Mobility Expo, and publicity. For the 2025 edition, the project submission period opens on May 7 and closes on June 20. Finalists will be notified by September 25 and will present to a panel of experts at the awards ceremony on October 23, 2025, in Donostia–San Sebastián, hosted at Tabakalera, the International Centre for Contemporary Culture. The final event features live pitches from the finalists and concludes with a networking cocktail session. The event is hosted by Antonella Broglia, a veteran in entrepreneurship and social innovation. The first-place winner receives a monetary prize of €12,500, plus an additional €12,500 for project financing through the MUBIL Hub. The package also includes workspace, publicity, and event exposure. The second-place winner receives €4,000 and an additional €6,000 under the same terms. Finalists are selected to present to a jury that includes professionals from organizations like Irizar Group, CAF, Bic Gipuzkoa, i2CAT, and EIT Urban Mobility, among others. Inquiries regarding the terms and conditions of participation should be directed to awards@mubil.eus. Media professionals can contact press@mubil.eus for information and promotional materials. The awards are supported by notable partners such as AEDIVE, ENISA, IBERDROLA, and others, which contributes to the legitimacy and reach of the initiative.
