Community Grants
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations in Muncie and Delaware County that are addressing community needs, with a streamlined application process for first-time and returning applicants.
The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County offers competitive community grants to support nonprofit organizations addressing community needs. In 2023, the foundation streamlined its application process, requiring nonprofits to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) on a rolling basis. Staff will review LOIs, follow up for further details, and guide applicants through the next steps if their LOI is approved. Final decisions on funding are made by the Board of Directors based on committee recommendations. Deadlines for decision-related LOI submissions are December 15, 2023, March 15, 2024, June 14, 2024, and September 13, 2024, for decisions by February, May, August, and November 2024, respectively. Grants are generally awarded to 501(c)(3) organizations, but other organizations may apply under certain conditions. First-time applicants must contact the Foundation for guidance.
