Performing Arts Global Exchange, FY 2026
This grant provides funding to a U.S. Regional Arts Organization to facilitate international performing arts programming and community engagement activities in underserved areas across the country.
The FY26 Performing Arts Global Exchange (PAGE) program, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), is designed to expand access to international performing arts programming across the United States. The program seeks to promote cultural understanding through the arts, particularly in underserved communities. The NEA will issue a grant of up to $300,000 to one U.S. Regional Arts Organization (RAO), which will oversee the program, including subawards to nonprofit arts presenters for hosting artists from an annually curated roster. The selected RAO will develop a roster featuring approximately 10 international solo performers or ensembles from a specific focus region, such as Southeast Asia or Nordic countries. These artists will be chosen based on their artistic merit and ability to engage underserved communities. Subaward recipients must ensure projects include at least one public performance and a community engagement activity that provides direct interaction with the visiting artists. The project period begins on or after June 1, 2025, and lasts up to 18 months. Eligibility is restricted to six pre-designated RAOs, which must meet specific legal and administrative requirements, including maintaining an active SAM registration and complying with the NEAโs General Terms and Conditions. The grant requires a nonfederal cost share matching the amount awarded for subawards. Applications must be submitted electronically via Grants.gov by January 23, 2025. Key submission requirements include a narrative detailing the RAO's experience in arts exchanges, proposed activities, a project timeline, promotion strategies, and unique resources. Other required documents include staff bios, a budget form, and relevant programmatic materials. Submissions must adhere to strict formatting guidelines and avoid exceeding 10 MB in total file size. Proposals are evaluated on artistic excellence and merit, focusing on the project's potential impact, applicant experience, and management capacity. Final funding decisions are made by the NEA Chair after advisory panel and National Council on the Arts reviews. Awardees must fulfill reporting requirements, including annual and final performance and financial reports, and comply with federal civil rights and accessibility laws. Recipients are also expected to acknowledge NEA funding in all project-related materials.
