Voluntary Tax Fund Native Wildlife Rehabilitation Grant
This grant provides financial support for wildlife rehabilitation facilities and individuals to improve care techniques, enhance animal habitats, and promote conservation education.
Funds may be used to support facility and home-based operations, improvements and/orinnovation in wildlife rehabilitation techniques (e.g., animal care, enclosure design, behavioralenrichment; post-release monitoring), and conservation education. Funds may not be used for incentives (e.g., raffles, donations), fundraising (e.g., financial campaigns, gift solicitation), or hospitality (e.g., accommodations, alcohol, entertainment).

To be eligible for grant funding from the competitive grant program established pursuant to Section 1773.1, an applicant shall meet all the following criteria: ▪ Operate a nonprofit organization conducting wildlife rehabilitation activities. ▪ Compliance with CDFW Wildlife Rehabilitation Permit and Memorandum of Understanding. ▪ Maintain active participation in the Wildlife Rehabilitation Medical Database
