Grant Description

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health (AACDOH) is offering the FY25 Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grants to support community and faith-based behavioral health providers in implementing opioid abatement programs. This funding aligns with Maryland’s Office of Overdose Response (MOOR) Five Priority Pillars, with a focus on Prevention, Harm Reduction, and Recovery. Projects that incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion are prioritized for funding. Eligible activities include opioid awareness and education campaigns, recovery support services, training, and outreach. Funds are intended only for activities directly supporting the MOOR priorities and are not covered by other funding sources. Ineligible expenditures are outlined in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Funding is provided for up to two years based on performance and availability. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the funds are depleted, with award notifications approximately six weeks after submission.
