Grant Description

The Philadelphia Cultural Fund (PCF) provides grants to support a wide array of artistic and cultural activities in Philadelphia. Eligible projects span arts education, community art, dance, music, theater, visual arts, historic preservation, literature, museums, media, multidisciplinary work, and presenting organizations. The FY25 grant cycle opens on November 13, 2024, with an application deadline in January 2025. Grants will be awarded in Spring 2025 following a thorough review process. Nonprofit organizations and groups using pre-approved fiscal sponsors are eligible to apply. For groups without 501(c)(3) status, the fiscal sponsor must be listed as pre-approved by PCF, and a fully executed sponsorship agreement must be submitted with the application. Fiscal sponsors not yet pre-approved can seek approval by contacting PCF. Detailed guidelines and resources, such as the Application Resource Guide and instructional materials for Submittable, are available to assist applicants. PCF encourages applicants to learn about updates and participate in info sessions to ensure their applications align with the program’s goals. Grantees are urged to highlight the impact of PCF’s funding on their organizations and the communities they serve, especially in advocacy efforts with city officials. By sharing success stories, organizations can strengthen support for ongoing cultural investment in Philadelphia.

Additional Requirements

Applying for a grant with a fiscal sponsor If an organization is not a 501c3 organization, applicants must be currently contracted with one of the pre-approved fiscal sponsor/parent organizations to be eligible for funding from PCF. Organizations that are contracted with a fiscal sponsor/parent organization that does not appear on the PCF list may have their fiscal sponsor/parent organization apply to be “pre-approved” by PCF. A current, fully executed sponsorship agreement between an organization eligible for a grant and their fiscal sponsor/parent organization must be submitted for approval before a grant is provided. If you are interested in having your fiscal sponsor apply to become a PCF Pre-Approved Fiscal Sponsor please email info@philaculturlfund.org for details.
