The foundation prefers projects that promise measurable, immediate effects on wildland ecosystem conservation and restoration over purely educational ventures. Grants, typically ranging from $5,000 to $15,000, fund print, radio, or television advertising, as well as the production and distribution of pamphlets, books, videos, or press packets.
