FY26 Community Parks and Playgrounds Program

The Community Parks and Playgrounds Program offers grant funding to restore and create parks and green spaces in Maryland's incorporated municipalities and Baltimore City. The program, administered by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, provides up to 100 percent of project costs through a competitive grant process. Eligible activities include developing new parks, rehabilitating existing parks, installing playground equipment, and creating trails and access points to water recreation resources. Applications are due by August 21, 2024, for consideration in the Governor’s FY 2026 budget proposal.
