Challenge Grant for Bergen County Schools in New Jersey
This grant provides funding to Bergen County schools in New Jersey to promote and enhance long-term recycling programs and educational initiatives.

Funding Information Bergen County schools are eligible to receive a grant up to $1,000. Eligibility Requirements In order to be eligible, your school must have a functioning recycling program in place, or use this grant to implement a recycling program in your school. No exceptions will be made to this requirement. Each school may only receive one grant. You may submit more than one, but only one grant will be awarded per school. All programs must be long term and contain an educational component. Short term projects, such as assemblies, field trips, on day recycling fairs can enhance a program; however, they are not acceptable as the project’s main goal (no exceptions). Provide a brief lesson plan. Failure to do so will result in the application not being considered. All applications should be received in typed format. No handwritten entries will be accepted. All public and private elementary and high schools throughout Bergen County are invited to participate. Please do not submit the same program from a previous year. You may enhance your original program, but a grant will be disqualified if the original idea is duplicated.
