Grant Description

The Burke Charitable Properties Fund supports nonprofit organizations serving Burke County, North Carolina, by providing grants to assist with facility-related costs that support or expand community benefit programs. Administered by the Community Foundation of Burke County (CFBC), the Fund prioritizes grants for facility needs, such as critical maintenance, expansion, or emergency repairs, that enable nonprofits to better deliver their services. The Fund does not generally support routine operating costs, ongoing program expenses, annual or capital campaigns, endowment augmentations, political activities, or organizations without appropriate 501(c)(3) status under the IRS code. The 2025 grant cycle opens on March 1, 2025, and closes on October 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Applications must be submitted online via the Foundant Grant Lifecycle Manager portal. Emergency facility cost requests may be submitted outside the regular timeline and will be reviewed case-by-case. Grant decisions will be made by The Burke Charitable Properties Committee in October, with notifications issued by December 2025 and funds disbursed no later than December 31, 2025. Applicants must create or log into their account on the CFBC grant portal and complete the online application, including uploading necessary documents. Only one file can be uploaded per question; multiple documents must be combined beforehand. For assistance or emergency applications, applicants should contact Aubrey Robbie at arobbie@cfburkecounty.org.
