2024 Community Health Impact Grants

The Three Valleys Community Foundation (3VCF) is offering 2024 Community Health Impact Grants to support nonprofit organizations addressing critical community health needs in the greater Three Valleys region, which includes Sunol, Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon, Danville, Alamo, and the Greater San Ramon Valley. This grant round focuses on three key areas: mental health and wellness, health equity and access, and environmental health and sustainability. The grant program aims to foster local collaboration, channel resources to address pressing health challenges, and enhance the overall quality of life. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit entities, including projects with fiscal sponsorships led by a 501(c)(3). Collaborative proposals involving multiple organizations are encouraged, although not mandatory. Public entities like school districts cannot apply as lead applicants but may partner with eligible nonprofits or be beneficiaries of the proposed programs. Previous grant recipients are eligible to reapply in any of the focus areas. The application window is open from October 23, 2024, to December 17, 2024. Grant decisions will be made by a diverse selection committee representing the Tri-Valley community, with funded projects commencing in March 2025. Successful grantees and donors will be celebrated at the State of Giving Gathering on February 26, 2025, in San Ramon. An informational webinar for potential applicants is scheduled for November 4, 2024, at 10 a.m. PT. Participation is encouraged, with a recording and FAQs available for those unable to attend. Eligibility Criteria 3VCF will consider applications from: 501c3 nonprofit entities, including fiscally sponsored projects/organizations led by a 501c3. Collaborative initiatives/applications of two or more organizations led by a 501c3. Collaborations are strongly encouraged, but not required. Public entities (e.g. school districts) are not eligible to apply under this grant round as a lead applicant, but could choose to partner with a 501c3 lead applicant and/or serve as beneficiaries of programs proposed by applicants. All applications must directly benefit the focal region covered by 3VCF which includes: Sunol, Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon, Danville, Alamo and the Greater San Ramon Valley. Previous grantees are eligible to apply for this grant round in any focus area.
