The Greater Grand Island Community Foundation offers discretionary grants for projects, programs, and events that improve the quality of life in the Grand Island area. Grant requests are accepted on a case-by-case basis following a successful screening of a Letter of Intent. The grant program aims to provide flexibility to address bold ideas, emerging needs, and innovative programs, and can be used to leverage dollars from other funding sources. Discretionary Grants are usually more than $10,000, and may be multi-year awards depending on the request's size and scope. Grant applications are available all year, and reviewed quarterly.

Additional Requirements

- Organizations must be classified as a 501(c)(3) by the IRS or as a governmental agency. Organizations can be funded once every 12 months, with a required final grant evaluation before applying for additional funding. - Applicants need to reach the foundation 1st to see if the request fits with GGICF's funding Then the applicant will be invited to complete an LOI. If accepted applicant will receive information to complete the application
