2025 Healthy Communities Initiative

The Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon’s 2025 Healthy Communities Initiative provides one-year grants of up to $25,000 to nonprofit organizations delivering health-related programs. These grants aim to address behavioral, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual community needs while also supporting internal capacity-building efforts for nonprofits. Projects may focus on health and wellness, capacity building, spiritual and pastoral care, food insecurity, substance use disorder, and tobacco prevention and cessation. Organizations may apply for funding for multiple projects in one application, but the Foundation reserves the right to award partial funding. The average grant award is $8,000. Applications must be submitted online by 8 p.m. on February 10, 2025. The application process includes an initial review by Foundation staff, with potential follow-up for additional information or site visits. Final decisions are made by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, with grant awards announced on March 28, 2025. The grant performance period runs from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
