Grant Description

The Community Enrichment Grant is an annual competitive funding opportunity offered by Adams County, Colorado. It is administered by the Office of Strategic Partnerships and Resilient Communities under the Long Term Recovery Chief Management Office (CMO). This grant supports nonprofit organizations and special districts that serve Adams County residents, with the intention of strengthening family stability and fostering impactful community development. For 2025, Adams County has introduced a new funding model for the Community Enrichment Grant that emphasizes flexibility while continuing to prioritize initiatives that stabilize families and support strategic community efforts. The grant is structured across three tiers to address varying community needs. Tier 1, with an allocation of $500,000, supports programs that offer basic needs and stabilization services such as housing, food security, transportation, healthcare, and emergency assistance. Grants in this tier range from $25,000 to $100,000 and prioritize services for low- to moderate-income residents, seniors, and vulnerable populations. Tier 2 is designated for regional and systemic impact projects with a focus on collaborative efforts to address larger issues such as homelessness, workforce development, and behavioral health. This tier offers $100,000 to $200,000 grants and has an allocation of $200,000. Tier 3, funded at $100,000, supports innovative and emerging needs projects, including pilot programs and culturally specific initiatives, with grant sizes ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. Eligible applicants include local governments, academic institutions, Native American tribes, nonprofit organizations with 501(c) status, schools, and school districts. Organizations without 501(c) status may apply through a fiscal agent. All applicants must be registered with the Colorado Secretary of State and be in good standing at the time of application. Additionally, previous recipients must have submitted a final grant report to be eligible for the current cycle. The total funding available for 2025 is $800,000. Funds must be used within the calendar year (January 1 through December 31) and may support a variety of project costs, including administrative and operational expenses, provided these do not exceed 20 percent of the total grant request and are directly linked to the supported program. The grant does not fund construction projects, equipment or vehicles, individual requests, lobbying, or food for events. Applications opened on April 25, 2025, and must be submitted by May 26, 2025. While no rolling applications or recurring cycle is confirmed, organizations should verify annually for updates. The main contact for this grant is Karla Estrada, who can be reached via email at [email protected]. Her office is located at 4430 S. Adams County Parkway, Brighton, CO 80601-8204.
