2025 Community Impact Grant
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations and collaborative groups that provide essential community services in Vermilion County, Illinois, and Fountain and Warren Counties in Indiana.
The United Way of Danville Area is offering Community Impact Grant Funding for the 2025/2026 funding cycle, aimed at supporting nonprofit agencies and collaborative groups serving the local community. This funding opportunity is part of the organization's ongoing commitment to supporting impactful programs in Vermilion County, Illinois, and Fountain and Warren Counties in Indiana. The grant initiative is aligned with the United Way’s broader mission to enhance the lives of individuals and families through targeted investments in essential community services. Each agency may submit a single application for their organization’s individual work, and also one collaborative application if participating in a partnership. If an agency intends to seek funding for multiple programs, it must submit separate applications for each program. Organizations new to United Way of Danville Area funding are strongly encouraged to engage with the United Way team before submitting their application to ensure alignment and improve their chances of success. To be considered complete, applications must include several required documents: a program budget, the agency’s most recent IRS Form 990, a current audit or management letter, proof of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, a list of the board of directors, and the current agency logo. Applications must be submitted online in a single session, as the system does not allow applicants to save progress and return later. The final deadline for submission is May 31, 2025, at 11:59 pm CST. Following submission, selected applicants will be invited to interviews with the Community Investment Committee scheduled for June 11 and 12. These interviews are an important step in the evaluation process and are used to assess applicants’ alignment with the Community Impact goals. For assistance or inquiries during the application process, applicants are encouraged to contact the United Way of Danville Area by email at info@unitedwayda.org or by phone at 217-442-3512. The organization’s office is located at 801 W. Fairchild St., Danville, IL 61832. Agencies are also encouraged to review the “Agency Obligations” before applying to understand post-award responsibilities.
