2023 Wisconsin Assessment Monies (WAM) Brownfield Assessment Grant Program provides funding and services to investigate brownfield sites with potential or known contamination that hinders redevelopment. The program has received $5.3 million in grant funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since 2010, which is used by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and its partners to assist local governments and others in assessing brownfield properties across the state.
