Grant Description

The Middlesex County Revitalization Commission (MCRC) offers the Business Operating Grants program to support small businesses in Middlesex County, Connecticut. The purpose of this grant is to provide operating assistance to help small businesses sustain and expand their operations. The program is structured as a five-year initiative, running annually from 2023 to 2027, with $200,000 available in grants each year. Eligible applicants must be small businesses with no more than 50 employees and annual revenue under $8 million. Additionally, businesses must have been in operation for at least two years within a town in Middlesex County. The program provides funding for projects that either foster business growth or mitigate financial hardship. Individual applicants may request up to $25,000 per year. A mandatory requirement for all applicants is attendance at a live, online information session. This session is designed to guide applicants through the application process, ensure understanding of program requirements, and provide an opportunity to ask questions before submitting their applications. The application period for the 2025 grant cycle runs from Saturday, February 15, 2025, to Saturday, March 15, 2025. No extensions will be granted beyond this deadline.
