Children's Autism Program

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is offering funding through the Children's Autism Program to support organizations providing autism services throughout Texas. This grant aims to establish agreements with providers capable of delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI), or other evidence-based treatment approaches. The funding will support the expansion and enhancement of autism services to improve the quality of care for children with autism spectrum disorder. The total estimated funding available for this grant is $33,060,500, with a maximum award amount of $1,000,000 per recipient. A total of 30 awards are expected to be distributed. There is no minimum award amount, and there is no matching fund requirement for applicants. The funding is designated to support service providers who can deliver high-quality, evidence-based autism interventions. Eligible applicants include organizations and entities capable of providing autism services within the state of Texas. The program seeks to ensure that services are available across all regions of the state, prioritizing the accessibility of effective autism treatment methods. The grant is competitive, meaning applications will be evaluated based on specific selection criteria outlined by HHSC. Applications for this grant must be submitted by March 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM. All applications must be received by HHSC by this deadline to be considered for funding.
