Walter Johnson Trust Grants

The Walter Johnson Trust, managed by the Community Foundation of Greenville, provides grants to support staff development for social service agencies serving Greenville County residents. These grants aim to enhance the capacity and internal stability of organizations through training and professional development. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agencies, and each organization may submit only one application per year. Applications for the 2025 grant cycle open on January 1, 2025, and close on January 31, 2025. Grant awards typically range from $500 to $2,500, and recipients will be notified by the end of February 2025. Proposals should focus on specific training programs that occur at established times and dates, whether conducted in-house or by external providers.
