Grant Description

The Hydropower Testing Network (HyTN) Program, also known as "heighten," seeks to advance the readiness of hydropower innovations by connecting U.S.-based technology developers with testing facilities to conduct physical testing. The goal is to help developers increase commercialization potential and technical readiness. Vouchers ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 will be distributed as in-kind support, covering services at facilities that provide lab-based testing for hydropower technologies. The program targets technology developers working on hydropower-related innovations like powertrain equipment, repair processes, and environmental mitigation technologies. Testing services will help reduce costs, risks, and time while improving performance and durability. This voucher opportunity is a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Energy's Water Power Technologies Office, the Office of Technology Transitions, and ENERGYWERX.
