Fiscal Year 2025-26 Boating Access Grant Program

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has released a Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) for the 2025-2026 Boating Access Grant Program. Additionally, outreach efforts to educate boaters about available amenities and the prevention of aquatic invasive species are also eligible for funding. The program allows reimbursement for up to 75% of project costs, with the remaining 25% required to come from non-federal sources. The grant application process includes administrative and technical reviews to ensure that the projects align with the program's goals and are feasible. Proposals are evaluated based on criteria such as project approach, expected outcomes, readiness, and budget. CDFW may provide final funding recommendations after reviewing the technical evaluations, and applicants will be informed of award decisions in the summer of 2025. All selected projects must comply with federal and state requirements, including the Buy American provision and prevailing wage laws.
