MetroParks Community Grant Program 2025
This grant provides financial support to local governments and nonprofit organizations in Butler County, Ohio, to improve outdoor recreational facilities and increase community access to parks.
The MetroParks of Butler County Community Grant Program provides financial assistance to local political subdivisions and 501(c)(3) organizations within Butler County, Ohio, with the goal of increasing residents’ access to parks and outdoor recreational opportunities. Funding is determined annually by MetroParks of Butler County. Although grants can cover up to 100% of project costs, applicants are strongly encouraged to commit to cost sharing. Eligible applicants must be located in Butler County and must either own or have a long-term lease for the project site. Eligible projects must involve permanent improvements to outdoor recreation facilities and cannot include operational or administrative expenses. If playground equipment is involved, it must be certified by the International Playground Equipment Manufacturers' Association. For fiscal year 2025, five grants of up to $5,000 each will be awarded. Projects must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Recipients are required to maintain public access to the improved facilities and install signage acknowledging MetroParks of Butler County’s support. Projects must be completed within 12 months of award notification, and reimbursement will only be issued upon submission of a final project report, including copies of all paid invoices. Failure to provide required documentation or signage will result in loss of funding. Applications must be submitted via email to csmith@yourmetroparks.net by May 30, 2025. Questions can be directed to Chad Smith, Deputy Director, at 513-867-5838 ext. 203.
