2025 Industrial Access Road and Bridge Program

The Industrial Access program, governed by the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), offers funding for the creation of public access roads and bridges for industrial sites. This initiative, not applicable to retail operations, focuses on projects that commit to new investment and job creation, per Section 23-6-1(5) of the Code of Alabama. Access must be on public right-of-way and comply with state standards for design and construction. The project sponsor, typically a city or county, assumes maintenance responsibilities post-completion. Prior notification to the Alabama Department of Commerce is required for incentive claims under Section 41-9-202.1, Code of Alabama 1975.
