Education After-School
This grant provides funding to Louisiana-based nonprofit organizations for after-school and summer arts and culture education programs that celebrate the state's unique cultural heritage.
The Community Partnership Grants for Education After-School, administered by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, support arts and culture education programs occurring between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026. These grants are designed to fund instructor fees for after-school and summer programs that reflect and celebrate Louisiana’s unique cultural heritage through disciplines such as music, dance, theater, visual arts, media arts, culinary arts, and creative writing. Grants of up to $7,500 are awarded, with all funds required to be spent within the state of Louisiana. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) organizations and active, registered Louisiana nonprofits. Applicants not holding 501(c)(3) status may apply using a fiscal sponsor that is a registered Louisiana-based nonprofit. Commercial organizations and individuals are not eligible. Each organization may submit only one application per grant cycle in one of five categories. Applications must align with the mission of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, which centers on preserving and promoting Louisiana’s cultural traditions through various programs and initiatives. Funding may only be used to compensate instructors delivering program content. Administrative expenses, equipment, materials, and operational costs are not covered. The Foundation also does not fund projects that fall outside the specified activity window, performances, regranting activities, lobbying, or any fundraising efforts. Strict conflict of interest guidelines prohibit participation by Foundation staff or board members in the grant application process, either directly or through related organizations. Applications are evaluated by a panel of reviewers who assess submissions based on alignment with the Foundation’s mission, artistic or educational merit, community impact, and feasibility. The scoring system allocates up to 100 points across these criteria. Grantees are required to sign a formal agreement, submit a completed W-9, and provide appropriate credit to the Foundation in all project materials. Public acknowledgment, media engagement, and testimonial participation may also be requested. Applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s online grant portal by 11:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, July 14, 2025. Award notifications will be emailed by August 11, 2025. Final reports, including receipts and documentation, must be submitted no later than August 31, 2026. Failure to submit a final report disqualifies grantees from future funding. For inquiries, applicants may contact the Foundation via email at [email protected] or call (504) 558-6100.
