Grant Description

The Decision Education Incubator, organized by the Alliance for Decision Education, provides an opportunity for public and charter schools, districts, and state education systems across the United States to develop and integrate decision-making education into their instructional frameworks. The Alliance, a nonprofit organization based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, focuses on empowering students with decision-making skills that enhance their ability to navigate complex situations, think critically, and act with agency. The primary purpose of this initiative is to help educators and education leaders design, pilot, and refine instructional models that embed decision education into K–12 curricula. Participants will work collaboratively to define how decision-making fits within their existing systems, from graduate profiles to classroom instruction. The goal is to make Decision Education a foundational aspect of student learning experiences. Eligible participants must be part of a U.S.-based public or charter school, district, or state. They must have a committed team of three to eight educators and staff who will collaborate on designing and implementing a new instructional model during the 2025–2026 school year. This team should include educators and administrators who are passionate about integrating decision-making concepts into education. Accepted teams will engage in live virtual professional learning and coaching sessions provided by the Alliance. They will also receive $5,000 to support teacher professional development, individualized coaching, and opportunities for national collaboration and media exposure. Each team will pilot their instructional model with at least one grade level, collecting data and sharing findings with the broader network to further the impact of Decision Education. The application process opened in April, with a formal deadline of June 6. However, applications may continue to be accepted on a rolling basis after this date. Interested applicants are encouraged to complete the interest form to receive updates. All application-related inquiries can be directed to Abby at [email protected] or by phone at (610) 668-1484.
