Grant Description

The 2025 Cox Charities Community Investment Grant for the Oklahoma City Metro region offers nonprofit organizations the opportunity to receive up to $10,000 in funding for impactful, community-based programming. These grants are intended to support specific ongoing initiatives that address local needs and demonstrate measurable outcomes. The application window is currently open and will close on May 1, 2025. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations physically located in and serving the Cox Communications Oklahoma City residential service area. To qualify, organizations must exhibit strong fiscal governance, regularly evaluate program performance, and avoid duplicating existing community services. Only one application may be submitted per market, and organizations attempting to submit multiple applications in a single market will be disqualified. To be competitive, applicants must demonstrate that the proposed project has additional sources of support, as Cox Charities does not fund programs that rely solely on this grant. The funding must support an active, ongoing program—not a one-time event or capital project—and should be focused on a clearly defined initiative within the organization. Cox Charities will not consider requests for funding athletic clubs, capital campaigns, endowments, foundations engaged in pass-through granting, administrative or marketing expenses, political or religious programs, or fundraising initiatives. Similarly, salaries not directly tied to program implementation are ineligible. The program supports a wide range of community-focused services, as demonstrated by the diverse list of 2024 recipients, which includes health, education, housing, and social service organizations.
