Grant Description

The Advancing Advocacy and Justice with Communities of Color grant seeks to empower advocacy organizations led by or centered on people of color, particularly those striving for health equity in communities where it is most needed. It focuses on long-term movement-building and enabling advocacy groups to seize opportunities for effecting equitable policy solutions and civic reforms. The grant supports a wide range of advocacy efforts, notably those targeting Arab/Middle Eastern, Asian/Pacific Islander, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous/Native American, and multiracial communities, including intersectional work (e.g., focusing on Indigenous women, Black LGBTQ+, immigrants, and refugees). Projects should aim at making decision-makers accountable and strengthening community power to influence policy, thereby advancing racial and economic justice. Grants range from $50,000 to $200,000 annually for two to five years. Grant renewed every year. Grant Annual Fall deadline: October 15th
