The City of Boulder defines health equity as the absence of systematic health disparities based on socio-economic factors, and the ability of all residents to reach their full health potential, regardless of their life circumstances. Through the HEF, the City of Boulder funds health and wellness programs that benefit City of Boulder residents experiencing health disparities, including: Residents disproportionately impacted by diseases linked to sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) consumption or disproportionately targeted by SSB marketing; Residents who lack access to healthy food, safe water, quality health care, wellness information and health care services and systems; and Populations systemically disenfranchised due to race, ethnicity, income, age, ability, sexual orientation or gender identification. Eligibility Criteria Through the HEF, the city will fund programs rather than entire organizations, institutions, or agencies. Eligible programs may be implemented in nonprofit organizations, government agencies, or public or private educational institutions (i.e., preK-12 school or college/university). Businesses and for-profit agencies should not apply. Eligible program activities may include direct services, research or collaborative approaches.  Proposal Criteria Proposals will be evaluated based on whether the proposed program:  Benefits people most affected by, or at increased risk from chronic disease linked to sugary drink consumption, or who generally experience health disparities.  Has leadership (agency board, staff and volunteers) that reflects the demographic diversity of clients served. Aligns with a selected program priority. Demonstrates sound research, evidence-based best practices. Values lived experience, cultural knowledge and wisdom.  Demonstrates strong and long-term evaluation of outcomes, or potential for such evaluation. Meaningfully engages community members experiencing health disparities in the design, implementation and/or evaluation of the proposed program. Demonstrates strong collaboration and transformative, equitable partnerships that move beyond informal relationships. The Boulder County is now accepting applications for its Strategic Fuels Mitigation Grant Program. The Clean Fleet Enterprise’s (CFE) Clean Fleet Vehicle and Technology grant program is a statewide competitive application process for fleet vehicles and other clean fleet technology. In general, a successful applicant will convey an understanding of the grant program criteria, their preparedness to manage a complex and long- term fleet transition project, and their commitment to maintaining awarded vehicles in everyday fleet operations. Program Requirements  Requested vehicles must be domiciled in and operated from a site in the state of Colorado with a large percentage of their travel within the state. Requested vehicles should be owned and operated by the fleet or individual fleet owner applying for funding. In cases where a third-party, who will not operate the vehicles directly, applies for funding, information on ownership of the vehicles must be included with the application materials for consideration. Applicants must operate awarded vehicles per the terms and conditions provided by the state. Applicants are required to provide proof they are currently registered and in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State. Business entities outside of Colorado must review and, where applicable, file a Statement of Foreign Entity Authority (SOFEA) with the Colorado Secretary of State before submitting their application. Requested vehicles must be insured and authorized for use in the state of Colorado. Requested new vehicles must be procured in their original manufactured condition from a retail business or dealership, with no previous ownership. Used and/or demonstration vehicles are not eligible for funding through the Clean Fleet Enterprise. City of Centennial is accepting applications for the Broncos Youth Activity Grant Program, offering $900,000 in grant funding to support youth activity programs due to the sale of the Broncos Football Team. Organizations may apply for a maximum of $200,000 for capital projects and $100,000 for other initiatives. Projects must be completed within one year and applicants must demonstrate how the project benefits Centennial youth. OAJJA: Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program Overview: The Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program provides funding to support county jails in onboarding and integrating with the Colorado Trusted Interoperability Platform (CTIP). This initiative aims to exchange behavioral health, housing, and demographic information with the Colorado Integrated Criminal Justice Information System (CICJIS) to ensure continuity of care for individuals transitioning between criminal justice agencies and the community. Program Description: Purpose of the Funds: The goal of the Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program, established by SB22-196, is to facilitate the exchange of behavioral health, housing, and demographic information with CICJIS. This exchange will be accomplished by establishing an information exchange platform within CICJIS to improve criminal justice, health, and safety outcomes. Statutory Authority: 24-33.5-532. Behavioral health information and data-sharing in the criminal justice system. Eligibility: Every Colorado county is eligible for a grant. Counties lacking an existing electronic jail management system infrastructure may face challenges in completing required activities. Eligible Activities: Integrating county jail data systems with CICJIS. Standardizing client-specific information through common data fields. Automating data reporting required by state and federal law. Required Application Components: All grant applications must address the following: Justifiable project costs. Plans to use technology meeting state standards. Addition of all data exchange requirements to the applicant's jail management system.
