Donor Name: Foundation for New Education Initiatives State: Florida County: Miami-Dade County (FL) Type of Grant: Grant Deadline: 05/23/2024 Size of the Grant: $1000 to $10,000 Grant Duration: 1 Year Details: The Teacher Mini-grant Competition is now open to all pre-K through grade 12 schools, including alternative schools, primary learning centers, and specialized centers. This grant is for special projects and educational tools that promote and enhance innovative and/or creative educational activities which lead to student achievement. Purpose Foundation for New Education Initiatives, Inc. (FNEI), a direct- support organization of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, is sponsoring a mini-grant competition for all Pre-K through grade 12 schools, including alternative schools, primary learning centers, and specialized centers, to fund special projects and educational tools that promote and enhance innovative and/or creative educational activities which lead to student academic achievement. Over $300,000 has been awarded to classroom projects since the inception of this competition. Funding Information Grants in the amount of $3,000 will be awarded to three (3) schools in each of the three (3) Regions. The total amount available District-wide is $27,000. Project Period July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. Uses of FundsΒ Funds can be used for educational materials, equipment, field trips, entrance fees, bus rentals, and supplies. Target Populations Projects may impact students through an individual classroom activity, school-wide program, or District initiative.
