The Christy-Houston Foundation makes grants in the following interest areas:Community developmentCorrections and penologyDiseases and disordersEconomic developmentHealth including hospice, hospital care, inpatient careHuman servicesMental healthNutritionPrograms for special needs children including sports and campsPublic affairsRehabilitationShelter and residential careFunding is available for capital, equipment, infrastructure, and program support.Giving is limited to Rutherford County and surrounding counties in Tennessee. There is no support for religious, political, or veterans' organizations or historical societies. No grants to individuals, operating expenses or endowments.An application form is not required. Applicants should submit the following:1) population served2) copy of IRS Determination Letter3) brief history of organization and description of its mission4) geographic area to be served5) copy of most recent annual report/audited financial statement/9906) how project's results will be evaluated or measured7) detailed description of project and amount of funding requestedInitial approach: Proposal (less than 5 pages)Copies of proposal: 1Applications are accepted any time throughout the year.
