The Los Altos Community Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations and activities that directly serve the residents of Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and the surrounding community.The Foundation awards grants for events, programs, projects, and activities that:Supporting children, families, and/or senior citizensEnhancing community lifeUplifting vulnerable populationsIncreasing educational opportunitiesHealth and safety programsArts and culture organizationsEnvironmental efforts,These grants enable stability for existing services and programs, innovations in services/programs and delivery, increased volunteer involvement, and/or stimulation of other grants and donations.Proposals are accepted only for charitable, educational, or community building purposes, primarily from tax-exempt, charitable organizations.
