With this solicitation, BJA seeks to enhance the capacities of state, local, territorial, and tribal criminal justice systems to prevent, investigate, and respond to economic, high-technology, white collar, and internet crimes by delivering TTA to diverse stakeholders. In addition, the program is intended to serve as a key resource to identify new and emerging issues in economic, high-technology, white collar, and internet crime.

With this solicitation, BJA, in coordination with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and the Office of Victims of Crime (OVC), seeks applications to provide a range of training and technical assistance (TTA) to grantees and the field at large under the Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI). This will build on the portfolio of existing providers and add new expertise in the following areas: trauma-informed practices and workforce development for Community Violence Intervention (CVI) organizations and staff, mass casualty shooting reviews, law enforcement engagement with CVI programs, TTA network support and coordination, and strategic communications.

The purpose of this project is to build Armenians' confidence in the criminal justice sector through tangible reforms that are relevant to the publics experience with the justice system. These include increasing public confidence in case outcome, strengthening legal defense mechanisms and public advocacy, institutionalizing technical and legal skills training for criminal justice officers, and upholding the rights of the most vulnerable individuals in Armenia. With this NOFO, INL seeks a partner to implement sustained institutional change in targeted areas of the justice sector identified by INL as well as the ability to rapidly respond to emerging needs and observations in the field crucial to INLs overarching desired results, objectives, and success of this program. We seek a collaborative, creative, data-driven, and iterative approach that will deliver results and ensure implementation on the ground is effective.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to select organization(s) to provide training and technical assistance geared toward strengthening prosecution efforts as listed below: Prosecution of cases of child victimization while in custodial care. These are cases in which children or youth report that they have been victimized while in out-of-home placement, whether that is foster care, group home, shelter care, or a custodial setting. These cases are far less likely to result in prosecution than cases in which a child or youth has been victimized while not in out-of-home placement.

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to increase basic access to justice in rural regions and for vulnerable populations throughout the Central African Republic.Central Africans in remote and conflict-affected communities continue to lack basic access to justice services and require assistance relating to crimes against vulnerable populations, such as children, elderly, widows, and orphans, LGBTQI+, and victims of sexual- and gender-based violence (SGBV). Despite substantial progress in recent years, CARs justice institutions lack the infrastructure and resources to provide legal services to a substantial section of the countrys population. CAR remote populations possess limited knowledge of how court system operations, available legal protections, and difficulty accessing courts with limited functionality. The absence of accessible, functional, and credible justice institutions has a profound impact on the lives of marginalized Central African populations as the risk of physical violence remains.

With this solicitation, BJA is seeking applications for funding under the Ashanti Alert National Network Training and Technical Assistance Program. This program will assist in completing the elements set forth in the Ashanti Alert Act for the development, implementation, and maintenance of this national communication system to assist with the reporting and location of missing adults over the age of 17.

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out the Strengthening Nigeria Police Force Lawful Detention Procedures project. This project will promote the Nigeria Police Forces (NPFs) adherence to the legal provisions provided for in Nigerias Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 and the Nigeria Police Act 2020 as it concerns detention of persons. This will enhance transparency, accountability, due process, and protection of human rights within the police detention system.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support nonprofit organizations and local public agencies in the following nonparticipating states: Texas and Wyoming, for the purposes of carrying out activities of the kinds described in the core requirements under the Act (34 U.S.C. 11133(11), (12), (13), and (15). The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to increase the effectiveness of investigation and prosecution of public corruption crimes. This project will increase accountability and improve the handling of public corruption cases by both investigators and prosecutors through concurrent training and cooperation. This project will have three key components: Objective 1: Training and capacity building Training and building capacity of anti-corruption investigators and prosecutors. Objective 2: Institutional support Providing institutional support including policy level changes and technological advancements to strengthen accountability and social inclusion mechanisms. Objective 3: Awareness Raising Raising public awareness of project initiatives to improve citizens confidence in public service delivery so they are encouraged to report corruption cases. The project will build capacity of investigators and prosecutors to handle public corruption cases both by training and mentoring a cadre of master trainers and by directly training investigators and prosecutors. The specific objectives are to increase the number of appropriate public corruption charges by law enforcement, improve the effective prosecution of public corruption cases, develop policies to encourage citizens to file complaints, and raise citizens awareness and confidence in public service delivery mechanisms. This call for proposals is intended to scale up existing work in Balochistan and expand it to benefit anti-corruption establishments in Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to: 1. With this solicitation BJA seeks to assist state, local, and tribal jurisdictions in reducing crime and improving the functioning of the criminal justice system through more effective information sharing, multi-agency collaboration, and the implementation of data-driven, evidence-based strategies. This will be accomplished by providing support services to the Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Centers and the RISS Technology Support Center (RTSC) under BJAs Justice Information Sharing Training and Technical Assistance (JISTTA) Program.

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to engage in prosecutorial development and training in the Pacific Islands, particularly in the Freely Associated States (FAS) of the Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands. To this end, the FAS Prosecutorial Development (FASPro) project will work with relevant justice sector actors (e.g., ministries of justice, training institutes and law schools, bar associations, law firms, alternative courts, legislative bodies, regional and international organizations) to strengthen workforce pipelines in the legal sector in order to stimulate the development of prosecutorial offices in the FAS.

The State of Texas, through the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), announces the availability of state funding for the Grants to Increase Local Dementia Support (GILDS) program. The grant aims to provide support to persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD), their caregivers, and promote early detection and diagnosis. Eligible applicants include governmental entities, non-governmental entities, not-for-profit organizations, for-profit entities, and associations, but not individuals. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the System Agency, is accepting Applications for the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Program. ADRCs are part of Texas’ No Wrong Door (NWD) System. The NWD System initiative is a collaborative effort of Administration for Community Living (ACL), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The NWD System initiative builds upon the ADRC program and CMS’ Balancing Incentive Program NWD requirements that support state efforts to streamline access to long-term services and support (LTSS) options for older adults and individuals with disabilities. NWD Systems simplify access to LTSS and are a key component of LTSS systems reform. The ADRC core services include: Specialized Information, Referral, and Assistance (IR&A); Referrals to respite care services; Local Contact Agency services to provide assistance to non-Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay nursing facility residents to transition into community living; Housing Navigator Services to increase accessible and affordable housing; and Outreach Activities under the Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) to educate Medicare beneficiaries with limited incomes who may be eligible for the Low-Income Subsidy program (LIS), Medicare Savings Program (MSP), and Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D), as well as disease prevention and wellness promotion.

The Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the United States Department of State calls for an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to improve and strengthen the institutional capacities of the Colombian National Police (CNP) - Directorate of Health (DISAN) and the Directorate of Veterans and Inclusive Rehabilitation (DIVRI) to provide CNP officers and Colombian military personnel permanently injured in the course of eradication, drug interdiction, rural security, anti-terrorism and anti-drug trafficking operations; access to optimal physical and psychological rehabilitation services (functional and holistic). Additionally, the project design should implement strategies and actions aimed at making wounded and disabled Colombian military and police forces personnel, who have leadership experience in their territories, the main facilitators for providing mobility devices to disabled officers in rural areas. Applicants should expect to work collaboratively with the CNP-DICAR (Rural Police Directorate) to develop brigades, public campaigns and/or community activities that serve to connect wounded Colombian Military Personnel and CNP Officers to appropriate rehabilitative resources.
