FAQ

What are Scouting Reports?

Scouting Reports are portfolios of relevant grant opportunities based on your preferences and eligibility criteria. We provide actionable insights on each grant to give you the best information needed to win the grant. We created Scouting Reports for three reasons:

  1. The universe of grants is massive and decentralized.

  2. Smaller nonprofits often don't have the resources to locate grants on their own.

  3. Even with a database subscription, grantseekers still must parse through thousands of irrelevant grants.

Our reports solve each problem by:

  1. Building a massive database of active grants from publicly available information across the internet.

  2. Developing AI software and a quality assurance team to recommend grants from our database based on a client profile

  3. Providing our satisfaction guarantee.

What's in a Scouting Report?

Our Scouting Reports come in three tiers: Basic, Standard, and Premium. Every report includes detailed insights on at least five grants that we vet using both artificial intelligence and human quality assurance. These insights include:

  • Award Range

  • Deadlines

  • Eligibility Details

  • Funder Point of Contact

  • Coverage Area

Our Standard and Premium reports add an extra level of insight through our funder profiles. These profiles include:

  • Key Contacts and LinkedIn Accounts

  • Giving history (including previous recipients and award amounts)

  • Funder mission

What is your Satisfaction Guarantee?

We want you to win grants– that's why GrantExec exists. We work tirelessly to put you in the best position possible to win non-dilutive capital for your organization. When you order a Scouting Report, you should only see grants that you can win.  If you or a funder determines that you are not a good fit for any grant we recommend, we will locate another opportunity for you at no additional cost.

I'm looking for a grant writer. What do you have for me?

Our team of grant writing professionals has more than 175 years of combined experience writing successful grant applications. Whether you're looking for full application management or a basic application review, we can accommodate any grant writing need. Want to learn more? Visit our grant writing page to get started.

What technology do you use to deliver your services?

We use a combination of programs that both comb the web for grant opportunities and add the grants to our database. From there, we use artificial intelligence to take the information that you give us about your desired grants and match you with funding opportunities. Our Quality Assurance team then vets each recommendation for accuracy before sending over your report.

How many grants are in your database?

Our database offers thousands of federal, state, local, corporate, and family foundation grants that vary in amount, length, purpose, eligibility, and requirements. To get the latest statistics, visit our home page.

What are your data visualizations?

We build data visualizations from our regularly-updated grant database to monitor the full landscape of the latest grants as they are offered. Our federal funding dashboard provides the only comprehensive dashboard of active grant offerings from the federal government.

Can I embed your dashboard into my site?

Yes! We sell licenses to our federal dashboards and provide custom dashboards to help monitor opportunities from offices, agencies, and issue areas you care about. To get started, schedule a time to meet with our team here

How frequently do you update your database of grants?

Every day. Our proprietary AI programs run through each source in the early morning and add relevant grant opportunities to our database.
